ICE Pharma Sites in Basaluzzo and Reggio Emilia Obtain Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Status

ICE Pharma is pleased to announce that its Basaluzzo and Reggio Emilia sites have successfully obtained Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status from the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency (Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli – ADM), following an extensive certification process lasting more than one year.

The achievement represents an important milestone in strengthening ICE Pharma’s operational excellence, customs compliance, and international supply chain capabilities.

AEO certification: strengthening customs compliance and international trade

The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status is a prestigious recognition granted by customs authorities to companies that demonstrate a high level of reliability, compliance, and control across their customs and international trade operations.

For ICE Pharma, obtaining AEO status confirms the robustness of the processes and controls implemented at the Basaluzzo and Reggio Emilia sites and reflects the Group’s ongoing commitment to maintaining high standards across its operations and supply chain.

The certification provides a number of important advantages, including simplified customs procedures, fewer customs inspections, and greater predictability in international trade operations. These benefits can contribute to more efficient flows of goods and support ICE Pharma’s ability to serve customers and business partners in international markets.

A collaborative achievement

The successful completion of the AEO certification process was made possible through the commitment and collaboration of several teams across the organization.

The Operations team played a particularly important role throughout the more-than-one-year process, contributing to the implementation, documentation, and verification of the processes required to meet the standards associated with AEO status.

This achievement demonstrates the value of cross-functional collaboration and the importance of continuously improving processes to support a reliable and resilient pharmaceutical supply chain.

Supporting ICE Pharma’s global supply chain

As an international pharmaceutical group serving customers and partners across global markets, ICE Pharma relies on efficient and compliant supply chain processes to ensure the reliable movement of products and materials.

The AEO certification of the Basaluzzo and Reggio Emilia sites represents another step in strengthening these capabilities. By combining customs compliance, operational efficiency, and supply chain reliability, ICE Pharma continues to invest in the infrastructure and processes required to support its international business.

This milestone further reinforces ICE Pharma’s commitment to operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and reliable service to customers and business partners worldwide.
