Cholic acid

ICE NZP

Cholic acid is a primary human bile acid and is one of the two major bile acids produced by the liver (the other being chenodeoxycholic acid), where it is synthesized from cholesterol. It appears in bile as either its glycine or taurine conjugates.

ICE Pharma manufactures two high purity grades (an Intermediate and API Grade) of GMP compliant cholic acid from bovine bile. Our robust extraction/purification process yields multi-tonne quantities of GMP cholic acid with full traceability and BSE/TSE legislation compliance.
