Inosine Pranobex, also known as Isoprinosine/ Methisoprinol / Inosine acedoben dimepranol is an alkylamino-alcohol complex of inosine and a salt of acetamidobenzoic acid with dimethylaminoisopropanol in a 1:3 molar ratio.

It is used for the treatment of various acute or chronic viral infections across multiple therapeutic areas and stands out from typical antiviral agents by modifying or stimulating cell-mediated immune responses rather than acting directly on the virus.

It enhances the proliferation of lymphocytes – particularly T-cells – and boosts cytokine production, including interleukin-2 and interferon-gamma.
